Arequipa in 2 days – Juanita Museum
Juanita Museum in Arequipa is the name given to the museum Santuarios Andinos. Juanita was a young girl who was sacrificed by the Incas and left at the top of the Nevado Ampato Glacier (6,310 m) as an offering to the Gods. His body was kept in the ice for 500 years and found in 1995 in a very good condition.
I found the visit is very interesting because we had – included the price of the entrance (25 soles is about 6 €) a guide who spoke very good French. He knew how to make the story of this young Inca exciting. He also explained to us the history of the Incas, the organization and customs of this civilization. To do absolutely!
Arequipa in 2 days – Mirador de Yanahuara
The Yanahuara area is about 2 km from the Arequipa center about 35 minutes on foot from the Plaza de Armas. The neighborhood is high up. A belvedere is on the church square from where you can admire through beautiful arcades white 3 famous volcanoes: MISTI – CHACHANI and PICHU PICHU. The panorama is magnificent!

On the same square as the Mirador is this beautiful church from 1750. Baroque style it is a major work of decoration Métis.
Arequipa in 2 days – Yanahuara District
It is especially necessary to walk and stroll in the small and narrow streets of this nice neighborhood to admire beautiful colonial facades.

Quickly, quickly, we must go to 17:00 at the restaurant “On the Top” to admire the sunset on Arequipa Cathedral. You have to go early because you can not book. So the first arrived have the best tables with the VIEW! And have a cocktail with friends in such a wonderful setting, it is also that the HAPPINESS!
Remember to ask for the red ponchos: the waitress will lend you beautiful Peruvian costumes. So dressed you will be really in the mood and you can take beautiful pictures.

And to finish in style, I highly recommend the restaurant ZIG ZAG: Calle Zela 210.
We settle down and we bring you bibs to eat like little pigs … To treat you, I advise you to choose the surtido of 4 carnes a la piedra (dish for 2 people at 65 Soles or about 15 Euros for 2!) . They bring you an assortment of very good meats (beef, lamb, veal and lama) with different sauces. The accompaniment to choose: mashed potatoes, Andean potatoes, ratatouille or fries.
