2 weeks in Scotland – The village of Plockton
It’s the most beautiful village in Scotland on my tour. Everything is there to delight the eyes and the heart: small flowered houses, beautiful bay ocher colors, postcard landscape … It’s a real gem!

But since nothing is ever perfect, we are attacked in the early morning by clouds of Midges that manifest themselves early in the morning or evening. These tiny mosquitoes get encrusted in your hair, your ears, your clothes … Help! Fortunately, a Scotsman took pity on us and offers us the fatal weapon:

2 weeks in Scotland – Restaurant in Plockton
Before going to book our next day trip to see the seals, we go immediately to the restaurant PLOCKTON SHORES that was recommended to me. Indeed, we eat the best scallops of Scotland. However, victim of its success, this restaurant reserves tourists long queues … So, wisdom drives us to book our lunch without delay!
It is therefore while walking and taking beautiful pictures that we look forward to lunch time.

And the wait was rewarded! The dishes were more than excellent, the scallops and other crustaceans had a taste like nowhere else …

2 weeks in Scotland – Plockton seals
So the next day at 10:30 we go to meet a colony of seals aboard a typical boat with a very nice and funny guide!

A pretty, invigorating 1 hour walk that takes you on Loch Carron and allows you to discover and observe seals lying on the shores of a few islands.

Hotel near Plockton – Tingle Creek Hotel
The houses must be fewer than elsewhere because when I looked for a Bed and Breakfast, everything was full for my dates in August. So I had to book an hotel a bit out of the way (15 minutes from Plockton) but very nice and beautifully placed. Moreover, it brought us closer to our next step: the Isle of Sky.
At the edge of the water, you can enjoy a superb view of the sea and the Sky Island in the distance … Important point for the evening (when we do not want to go out for dinner): a restaurant on site ! Everything was fine except the price a little high (150 Euros).
