Mauritius North Coast and Grand Bay in particular is the busiest area of Mauritius. Indeed, it’s the starting point for sea excursions to the North Islands or to see the best places of Mauritius. Of course this coast attracts a large number of tourists. In addition, Grand Baie has beautiful beaches such as the famous Trou aux Biches (see below).

The village is called Cap Malheureux in reference to the many shipwrecks that took place on its shores. Its chapel is the symbol and represents the main attraction for tourists. The view is breathtaking on the Coin de Mire (islet a few km north).

Known to botanists around the world for its remarkable collection of exotic plants, this garden stands out for its giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica) and its many species of palm trees. I loved this visit and highly recommend it!

It is in Triolet that you can visit the largest Hindu temple on the island: the Maheswarnath Mandir.

This is a very small and very modest restaurant run by a family. Do not go for the quiet, the setting, the decor, the standing … no because there is nothing of all that … You have to go for lobsters !!! And here I can confirm that you will not regret it.

I will not list all its advantages nor all its equipment … since it has EVERYTHING (elegant style, impeccable service, gourmet cuisine, spa, swimming pool, tennis …).
